Who is Auka
Auka represents the female warrior within us. Rebellious, fearless, fighting for who she loves. Never conforming to the norms.
The arc represents the rising sun — a symbol of strength and new beginnings.
The green beneath her feet supports her, connecting her to the earth and allowing her to grow.
At the centre is the Auka warrior, independent, defined by her purpose. In her backpack, she carries the tools she needs to survive her daily battles.
We all carry the Auka spirit within us!
The Founders
A Story Between Two Cities
Auka Style was founded by two people who shared a belief: that the world's most beautiful things are made slowly, by hand, with care.
Born in Ibarra, Ecuador, Stephanie Pineda represents the essence of Auka — strength, elegance, and defiance shaped by resilience. Orphaned at nine and fully self-taught, she forged her own path and turned it into a creative force now influencing Ecuador's fashion landscape. Together with Esteban Peña, she co-founded Auka Style, a brand dedicated to exceptional leather-craft and to honouring the tradition of leather crafters.
OUR MISSION
We are not here simply to make handbags.
Auka is shaped by people — by community, by collaboration with artists, by creating opportunity, and by giving back to the places that inspire us. With every piece we create, a portion is dedicated to causes that create meaningful and lasting impact.
In Ecuador, we have proudly supported the Luis Vargas Torres Foundation in Cuenca — a small nonprofit dedicated to education, youth, and empowering the next generation.
Our commitment continues beyond one place. Auka remains an ongoing supporter of initiatives helping children and families in need throughout Quito. Through UBECI, at-risk children receive access to education, emotional support, and recreational programs that help create opportunities for a brighter future.
